The Kinesio Taping Technique has been developed in Japan by Dr Kenzo Kase for more than 25 years.
Dr Kase has found that the K-Taping , as now known, has a healing impact on traumatised tissue and muscles.
In addition, he has found that K-Taping provides support to the muscles and joints within any range of motion restriction . The K-Tape is also used to aid pain reduction, reduces swelling and leading to improvement in movement performance and asymmetries.
The K-Tape is usually warn for up to 5 days. then it is easily taken off, without any pealing and leaving nay markings.
This therapy is based upon very gentle touch throughout constant massage and stretching that releases tightness and pain throughout the myofascial tissue.
This therapy is used on the located trigger points, or knots in fascial tissues, or can be used as a full body treatment.
What is Fascia? Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessels, bones, nerve fibres and muscles in the place providing internal structure. This thin casing has nerves that makes it almost as sensitive as a skin, when stressed or tight.
This treatment is based on the Toggle Recoil method which was originally created by McTimoney ( around 1970s ) as a gentler alternative to the high velocity thrust chiropractic move. He found it to be highly effective, so used it much more regularly then the HVT.
Later Mr Corley added further details to this by using intent into the area of dysfunction and precise placement of his fingers in in conjunction with a quick vibrational move.
This treatment is not invasive, and does not directly move the bones. Instead it stimulates the body to release tension that is fixing the joint in a misaligned state.
The MCST motto is ,,whole body whole,,
hence the all horse is check during this treatment.
This traditional Chinese medicine is based on the concept of life energy (qi), which purportedly flows through ''Meridian lines'' in all body.
In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupressure points ,or trigger points, with aim of cleaning blockages in these meridians.
Pressure may be applied by hand or various devices (tuning folk, etc.). All partitionist are different and some are using more pressure in the point then the others , there is no wrong at any of these techniques.
Acupressure therapy reduces pain, relaxes the muscles and all body, improves blood flow and more.
This treatment is very individual, it can last 5min to 1 hour long, it all depends on the horse and his /hers needs.
K-Laser Therapy uses selected wavelengths of light to stimulate key molecules in the body tissue.
Decades of medial research have identified the wavelengths, energy levels and frequencies that positively stimulate cellular metabolism, accelerating and enhancing the body's own healing and reparative abilities.
K-Laser energy penetrates deep into musculoskeletal tissue and accelerates cell metabolism by increasing blood flow, nutrients absorption, cell division and excretion of waste product.
As a result: skin, tendons, ligaments and muscles are repaired faster with reduced inflammation, scarring and pain.
Massage is hands on non invasive treatment, using movements like stroking, tapotement, deep tissue pressure to muscles and any soft tissue and fascial structures.
One of the immediate benefit is relaxation. This occurs because massage prompts the release of endorphins ( neurotransmitters chemicals) that produce feelings of wellbeing.
Other benefits for our horses, may include pain relief, reduces muscles tension ,improve muscle tone and posture, stimulation of lymphatic system, improved circulation increasing the delivery of nutritionist aiding muscles recovery.
Regular massage treatments are recommended in long term over all well being of your horse.
